Tree stump removal
When a tree is cut - however close its base - a stump remains. This can become a host to disease or fungus or allow suckering where new shoots arise from the remaining trunk or the tree roots. The stump makes is awkward to use the space around the stump. A stump can also be host to disease and fungus
Although tree stumps can be removed anytime, it's best to have this done when the tree is felled. Cedar Difference is highly expert at tree stump removal. We use a stump grinder, when required, as shown in the slideshow. Our commitment to the environment means we avoid chemical solutions. We always ask what customers want to do with their land once the stump is removed. This tells us to what depth we should remove all traces of the stump. For laying turf, the Royal Horticultural Society suggests a shallow grind of 20-25 cm (8-10 inches). If replanting or landscaping, a deeper grind is needed. |
